Definition

What is the 72-Hour Strategy Bootcamp?

The 72-Hour Strategy Bootcamp is strategy1's fixed-fee format for one real problem. In 3–5 days a strategist and AI agents build a starter Strategy Twin and a working strategy you can act on, ending in a decision memo your leadership has signed. The fee is credited if you continue to an Engine Sprint.

Context

Why it matters

Traditional strategy projects take weeks before a leadership team sees a recommendation. A Bootcamp shows, on one tightly scoped decision, what evidence-backed strategy looks like when it is made in days, and leaves the client with something usable either way.

In practice

How strategy1 uses it

A Bootcamp works best on one decision with a date and an owner. The starter Twin is built and reviewed at gate H1, options are red-teamed, and the decision memo is signed at gate H2. If the client does not continue, they keep the outputs, and the starter Twin is exported to them and deleted on the contracted schedule.

FAQ

72-Hour Strategy Bootcamp: common questions

What kind of problem suits a 72-Hour Strategy Bootcamp?

One decision with a date and an owner, such as a launch, a brand question, an investment strategy or an event. strategy1 scopes each 72-Hour Strategy Bootcamp tightly because a 72-hour promise has to be kept, so broad programmes are better split into separate decisions.

What does a team leave a 72-Hour Strategy Bootcamp with?

A working strategy for one real problem, a starter Strategy Twin, a red-team report setting out the strongest case against the plan, and a decision memo the client's leadership has signed at a Strategy Council session.

How does a Bootcamp lead to an Engine Sprint?

If the client continues, the starter Strategy Twin carries over and the Bootcamp fee is credited to an Engine Sprint, which takes one engine's full deliverable to depth in 1–3 weeks.
