Future & Transformation strategy: What to change before it changes you.

Built on

A Strategy Twin of your business and the S1 Method, with speed measured by the Compression Index.

What could happen to our plan, and how will we know early?

Scenario planning tests a strategy against several plausible futures instead of one forecast. strategy1 models macro, regulatory and geopolitical scenarios on a Strategy Twin of your business, sets the early signals that show which future is unfolding, and delivers a scenario set with a trigger dashboard. ScenarioEngine runs it.

What to change before it changes you. These 6 types look further out. They rank the AI use cases worth building, test your plans against scenarios rather than forecasts, and set the triggers that tell you when to act.

How we run it

Delivered by ScenarioEngine

Engines are named methods delivered by a strategist pod with AI agents. Humans hold the gates; AI does the heavy lifting between them.
AI does
Runs the engine models, generates options and red-teams each one.
People do
A strategist sanity-checks the assumptions.
Output
An option set with scenarios and failure modes.

How this fails

The conditions under which this plan fails.

Every strategy ships with its strongest counter-arguments. These are the ones we check first.
Red team4 conditions under which this fails
  1. 01Scenarios are read as forecasts, and only the one that feels likeliest is planned for.
  2. 02Triggers are set, but no one is named to watch them.
  3. 03The evidence is thin. Where a figure cannot be sourced above grade C, it is shown as a model estimate, and every conclusion that rests on it carries that grade.
  4. 04No one owns the result. Without a named owner to accept the actions at gate H3, the plan is never staged into your systems and does not run.
  1. 01

    Every number traceable.

Each figure links to its source, date and confidence grade (A, B or C).

  2. 02

    Every plan red-teamed.

Each strategy ships with its strongest counter-arguments and the conditions under which it fails.

  3. 03

    Signed where it matters.

Domain Fellows, who are chartered engineers, CAs, lawyers and sector veterans, sign the parts that carry professional liability.

  4. 04

    Nothing written without approval.

No decision reaches your systems until your named owner accepts it.

Questions

About Scenario & risk

How is scenario planning different from forecasting?
A forecast predicts one most likely future and plans for it. Scenario planning describes several plausible futures, tests the plan against each, and sets signals that show which one is unfolding. strategy1 uses scenarios rather than forecasts, so the plan is ready for more than the outcome that feels likeliest.
What do you deliver for scenario planning?
You hold the scenario set and trigger dashboard. Every Engine Sprint also ships a red-team report with the strongest counter-arguments, an evidence extract that gives each figure its source and date, and a decision memo signed at gate H2. We provide decision support. Licensed professionals sign technical, financial and legal conclusions.
What is a trigger dashboard?
A trigger dashboard tracks the early signals that tell you a scenario is becoming real, with a threshold for each signal and the action it should set off. strategy1 delivers one with every scenario set and names an owner to watch each trigger, so signals lead to decisions rather than to reports.
What is business war-gaming?
Business war-gaming is a structured exercise in which teams play competitors, regulators or customers to test how a strategy holds up against their likely moves. strategy1's ScenarioEngine runs red-team war-games alongside scenario modelling, so the plan has met its strongest counter-moves before it goes to the board.
How long does scenario planning take with strategy1?
Scenario & risk starts as a 72-Hour Strategy Bootcamp: 3–5 days on one real problem, ending in a working strategy and a starter Strategy Twin. The full deliverable follows as an Engine Sprint of 1–3 weeks, at a fixed fee rather than hours. Fees are exclusive of GST. Your Bootcamp fee is credited to a Sprint if you continue.
