Operations & Assets strategy: What to build, where, and at what cost.

Built on

A Strategy Twin of your business and the S1 Method, with speed measured by the Compression Index.

Where are we exposed, and what do we change first?

A supply chain resilience strategy finds where you are exposed and decides what to change first. strategy1 maps supplier dependencies beyond the first tier, runs disruption scenarios on a Strategy Twin of your supply chain, and delivers a resilience plan that names each failure point and what to do about it. ScenarioEngine runs it.

What to build, where, and at what cost. These 5 types turn a site file, a spend cube or an org chart into options you can compare, with the physics and the finance computed in tested code.

How we run it

Delivered by ScenarioEngine

Engines are named methods delivered by a strategist pod with AI agents. Humans hold the gates; AI does the heavy lifting between them.
AI does
Runs the engine models, generates options and red-teams each one.
People do
A strategist sanity-checks the assumptions.
Output
An option set with scenarios and failure modes.

How it is done in Operations & Assets

  • System architecture, workflow, sizing, CAPEX/OPEX and schedule
  • Multi-criteria scoring of land, logistics, incentives and talent
  • Supplier dependency graphs
  • Disruption scenarios
  • Capability-to-structure mapping
  • Spans and layers
  • Spend analytics
  • Benchmark gaps
  • Savings scenarios

A blueprint is not bankable engineering. Yield simulation, grid studies, geotechnical surveys and protection design still need licensed engineers.

How this fails

The conditions under which this plan fails.

Every strategy ships with its strongest counter-arguments. These are the ones we check first.
Red team4 conditions under which this fails
  1. 01Supplier data stops at the first tier, so the deepest dependencies stay hidden.
  2. 02Failure points are named, but no budget is set to act on them.
  3. 03The evidence is thin. Where a figure cannot be sourced above grade C, it is shown as a model estimate, and every conclusion that rests on it carries that grade.
  4. 04No one owns the result. Without a named owner to accept the actions at gate H3, the plan is never staged into your systems and does not run.
  1. 01

    Every number traceable.

Each figure links to its source, date and confidence grade (A, B or C).

  2. 02

    Every plan red-teamed.

Each strategy ships with its strongest counter-arguments and the conditions under which it fails.

  3. 03

    Signed where it matters.

Domain Fellows, who are chartered engineers, CAs, lawyers and sector veterans, sign the parts that carry professional liability.

  4. 04

    Nothing written without approval.

No decision reaches your systems until your named owner accepts it.

Questions

About Supply-chain resilience

What is supply chain resilience?
Supply chain resilience is a company's ability to keep supplying customers when a supplier, route or region fails, and to recover quickly. It depends on knowing your dependencies, having alternatives ready and acting before a disruption. strategy1 measures it with supplier dependency graphs and disruption scenarios.
What do you deliver for a supply chain resilience strategy?
You hold the resilience plan. Every Engine Sprint also ships a red-team report with the strongest counter-arguments, an evidence extract that gives each figure its source and date, and a decision memo signed at gate H2. We provide decision support. Licensed professionals sign technical, financial and legal conclusions.
How do you assess supply chain risk?
Map every critical input back through its suppliers, not only the first tier, then test what happens when each one fails. strategy1 builds supplier dependency graphs and runs disruption scenarios, ranks the failure points by impact, and sets an owner and a budget for each change, so the plan is acted on.
What is a China plus one strategy?
China plus one is a sourcing strategy that keeps China in the supply chain but adds at least one other country, such as India, to reduce dependence on a single source. strategy1 tests China plus one options in disruption scenarios and compares cost, lead time and risk before any supplier changes.
How long does a supply chain resilience strategy take with strategy1?
Supply-chain resilience starts as a 72-Hour Strategy Bootcamp: 3–5 days on one real problem, ending in a working strategy and a starter Strategy Twin. The full deliverable follows as an Engine Sprint of 1–3 weeks, at a fixed fee rather than hours. Fees are exclusive of GST. Your Bootcamp fee is credited to a Sprint if you continue.
