Operations & Assets strategy: What to build, where, and at what cost.

Built on

A Strategy Twin of your business and the S1 Method, with speed measured by the Compression Index.

Where is our spend out of line, and what can we save without harm?

Cost transformation finds where spend is out of line and what you can save without harming the capabilities your strategy needs. strategy1 runs spend analytics and benchmark gaps on a Strategy Twin of your cost base, models savings scenarios, and delivers a savings roadmap with each saving traced to its source and its owner.

What to build, where, and at what cost. These 5 types turn a site file, a spend cube or an org chart into options you can compare, with the physics and the finance computed in tested code.

How we run it

Delivered through the S1 Method

Strategist-led, on the S1 Method: the Strategy Twin and the S1 Method with a strategist pod, without a dedicated engine.

Method

The S1 Method

Sense, Model, Simulate, Decide, Deploy, Learn.

AI does
Runs the engine models, generates options and red-teams each one.
People do
A strategist sanity-checks the assumptions.
Output
An option set with scenarios and failure modes.

How it is done in Operations & Assets

  • System architecture, workflow, sizing, CAPEX/OPEX and schedule
  • Multi-criteria scoring of land, logistics, incentives and talent
  • Supplier dependency graphs
  • Disruption scenarios
  • Capability-to-structure mapping
  • Spans and layers
  • Spend analytics
  • Benchmark gaps
  • Savings scenarios

A blueprint is not bankable engineering. Yield simulation, grid studies, geotechnical surveys and protection design still need licensed engineers.

How this fails

The conditions under which this plan fails.

Every strategy ships with its strongest counter-arguments. These are the ones we check first.
Red team4 conditions under which this fails
  1. 01Savings are counted before an owner has agreed to deliver them.
  2. 02Cuts reach capabilities the strategy depends on.
  3. 03There is no baseline. Without your current numbers, the plan cannot show what it changes, and drift cannot be tracked at Learn.
  4. 04No one owns the result. Without a named owner to accept the actions at gate H3, the plan is never staged into your systems and does not run.
  1. 01

    Every number traceable.

Each figure links to its source, date and confidence grade (A, B or C).

  2. 02

    Every plan red-teamed.

Each strategy ships with its strongest counter-arguments and the conditions under which it fails.

  3. 03

    Signed where it matters.

Domain Fellows, who are chartered engineers, CAs, lawyers and sector veterans, sign the parts that carry professional liability.

  4. 04

    Nothing written without approval.

No decision reaches your systems until your named owner accepts it.

Questions

About Cost transformation

What is cost transformation?
Cost transformation is a structured change to how a company spends, aimed at savings that last rather than one-off cuts. It looks at what the business must spend on to deliver its strategy, and removes or redesigns the rest. strategy1 delivers it as a savings roadmap in which each saving is owned and tracked.
What do you deliver for cost transformation?
You hold the savings roadmap. Every Engine Sprint also ships a red-team report with the strongest counter-arguments, an evidence extract that gives each figure its source and date, and a decision memo signed at gate H2. We provide decision support. Licensed professionals sign technical, financial and legal conclusions.
How is cost transformation different from cost cutting?
Cost cutting reduces spend across the board, often quickly, and often hits capabilities the strategy depends on. Cost transformation decides where to spend more, where to spend less and what to stop, based on the strategy. strategy1 checks every proposed saving against the capabilities your strategy needs before it enters the roadmap.
How do you make savings stick?
Give each saving a named owner who agrees to deliver it, a baseline to measure against and a date to review it. strategy1 counts a saving only once an owner has accepted it, and tracks progress against the baseline, so savings do not quietly return in the next budget.
How long does cost transformation take with strategy1?
Cost transformation starts as a 72-Hour Strategy Bootcamp: 3–5 days on one real problem, ending in a working strategy and a starter Strategy Twin. The full deliverable follows as an Engine Sprint of 1–3 weeks, at a fixed fee rather than hours. Fees are exclusive of GST. Your Bootcamp fee is credited to a Sprint if you continue.
